About
The Minden 150 Bike Tour
The Minden 150 Bike Tour is organized by a Commitee appointed by the Township of Minden Hills. The Tour is a legacy event of the 2009 Sesquicentennial celebrations and is intended to encourage cycling and cycle tourism in the Township of Minden Hills and Haliburton County.
The first Tour in 2009 had over 180 cyclists. In 2010, 167 cyclists participated. In 2011, the Tour grew to 221 participants.
For the 2011 Tour, the Committee partnered with the Share the Road Coalition and proceeds from the Tour are shared between the Coalition and the Township’s recreation programs.
Proceeds from Penny’s Ride are given to the Haliburton Highlands Secondary School scholarship set up in her memory.
